Career Clarity / Development Coaching Sessions
These 50-minute coaching sessions are designed to dig deeper into what is next for you in regard to your career with more intensity than if you chose to reflect on it by yourself. By bringing out your strengths, minimizing your weaknesses, and getting clear about what is next, you will be more clear, focused and confident moving forward.
And we can put the “land mines” out in front of us, so we can see what is going to get in the way of you crossing the “gap”. What gap? The gap between where you are right now (here) and where you want to be in the future (there). Learning how to manage this gap, learning how to get from “here” to “there,” provides you the opportunity to choose your future before your future chooses you. It all starts with awareness and finding a direction!
Then creating a plan to get you there!
The 50-minute coaching sessions are focused on crystallizing your goals, getting clear, developing a plan, and getting into action. There are no “right number” of times for us to meet – that will depend on the support you think you may need. But what we know is to get clear about what is next, won’t happen after one session. Or two. So be open that it may take a few sessions to start to even begin to open up to what is possible.
Cadence, total number of sessions, and agenda may change based on your progress. There will also be email, text and phone correspondence between sessions which is unlimited and included in the coaching price. Homework WILL be provided to you to help you move forward between sessions.

★ Creating your personal definition of success and understanding how that fits into a career at this stage in your life, because that is the guideline we will bring with us into this journey.
★ Unpacking your strengths, values, needs, non-negotiables, skills, passions, and beliefs that you bring to the table so we can see not only what you “can do” but what energizes you (I know, I know, you can probably do a list like this yourself, but we help you get your “but” out of the way to actually do something with this list after you created it)! What but? The “I would love to do that, BUT no one will pay me to do that…” That kind of but.
★ Showing self-doubt, second-guessing and comfort-zone-loitering the door as you gain a better understanding of yourself – and your unrealized potential. And build that tool box to keep those nasty thoughts where they belong…in the trash.
★ Possible use of CliftonStrengths Assessment and a coaching session or two to unpack its findings. This will help us create a solid starting inventory of what you bring to the table as well as creating a focused perspective as a “view finder” to help you review new possibilities in a new light.
★ Quantifying your goals, needs, and talent that you bring to the table along with your strengths.
★ Being more certain that you are NOT making a “wrong” move as you begin the actual move forward.
Once the vision is clear, it is time to go after that vision – so a plan must be built…and maintained…you can look forward to:
★ Creating an effective job search strategy understanding how to search job opportunities expanding outside of your network by using LinkedIn and utilizing key word search.
★ Developing a time management system so that you can get in motion and keep moving forward in order to find a job navigating through “not enough time, not enough energy excuses that we all have…”
★ Finding career paths, functions/industries and organizations that are a great match for your goals, needs, talents, values and strengths.
★ Developing a set of leads in order to discover job openings that might otherwise go undetected.
★ Ensuring your goals are specific, attainable and realistic. We believe in the old saying that, "If you shoot for the stars, maybe you'll hit the moon," but it makes more sense to keep the majority of your goals a little more earthbound. So, we take it step by step in helping you not just set your goals but get your goals (because isn’t that the goal?).
★ A chance to prep for job interviews so that you can distinguish yourself when it counts.
★ Salary/Benefit Negotiation Support: Have a support system for your salary negotiations and relocation package, helping you navigate the often confusing but exciting “job offer stage”.
★ Or whatever else might pop up that you would like support in!!!
